Cars: Treat cat urine odor spots in cars as you would for sofas and/or carpets. If you can't figure out where the odor is coming from you might have to use a blacklight at night to find the soiled areas.

Area Rugs: They can be spot treated with sprayer or thrown in the washer. Just be careful with color-fastness and test before treatment, especially with expensive oriental rugs.

Walkways and Outside Areas: They can be treated depending on the material. See the specific article on the material soiled.

Safety: Always wear gloves and a mask when using the recipe. Cat urine odor in itself can be overpowering but when you add the release of oxygen from the recipe and it can be very nauseating.
